Rev. Sheri Muntean has pursued methods to serve community down many paths. However, I have always been led back to work as a Certified Public Accountant. Providing order and service to those working to better manage their lives - business and personal - is a calling. That is why the CPA Firm bears the name "Shamballa Centre." Shamballa is another word for the Judeo/Christian concept of Heaven, drawing upon Hindu and Buddhist origins - and it seemed a fitting term for the goal of this practice - a Centre in which Peace (of Mind) can begin and radiate out from.

The 14th Dalai Lama said of Shamballa, "Although those with special affiliation may actually be able to go there through their karmic connection, nevertheless it is not a physical place that we can actually find. We can only say that it is a pure land, a pure land in the human realm. And unless one has the merit and the actual karmic association, one cannot actually arrive there."

So, it is the goal of Shamballa Centre to work towards the "merit"/"karmic association" required to find Peace. A person's financial activities are a snapshot of their life. Finding peace there can facilitate finding peace in other areas of life as well. Thus, the CPA Firm title, Shamballa Centre.
